Auction Rules Empty Auction Rules

  • Each team will be allowed to nominate 0-2 players from their available Auction players.  These are players who were on their team's roster at season's end, that were at one point on the waivers.
  • Nominations will be due on August 8th, and will be announced as soon as possible.
  • Auction process will start on August 9th and continue through August 23rd
  • There will be individual pages created for each nominee for GM's to state their proposed bids
  • Bidding will start at $150 and the minimum increase is $10.
  • Remember, all Free Agent signings are for 1 year only, after that 1 year the player will automatically be put back into the draft.

    --Note--

  • If you bid on a player, you are 100% obligated to sign that player to said bid if you wind up as the highest bidder.
  • The GM who nominated the player will always get a chance to match the winning bid as we will treat all players as Restricted Free Agents.
  • GMs will be provided their updated Salary Cap prior to the Auction and will be required to manage their own financial situations.  If there are questions or concerns, the Commissioner will be available to assist.
  • Once a player's page becomes stagnant, I will send out a final query and then let the nominating GM decide to match or not, after which I will announce the winning GM and the player will be taken down from the auction.

Lastly -- This process will only work as well as we all allow it.  If there is an issue, loophole or a way to make the auction run better PLEASE do not hesitate to bring it to my attention so we can make the appropriate changes.  This is also trial year on the auction, so be prepared to voice your thoughts on it after it has concluded.
